The election is done, now what?
In hope and anticipation of the bond passing on February 9th, White River School District had begun planning over a year ago, so that we would be ready to get to work if the community supported the bond.  We have been working with Construction Services Group, through ESD 112 in Vancouver, WA. They are a provider of construction related services exclusively to school agencies. They live up to their mission to deliver affordable, high quality representation and advocacy.  Lead by Doug Nichols, who has 45 years experience as an architect, facility planner and project manager for educational clients in the Northwest, they helped us successfully launch the bond. They lead us through the facilities study and survey last year, as well as supporting the informational campaign for the bond. We have been very impressed with their work.
We are now underway!  The new Glacier Middle School and the renovated Elk Ridge and Wilkeson schools will help accommodate the programs and student population for the community. Doug Nichols will be working with Dave Teater, who also has 45 years' experience as a classroom teacher, counselor, principal, assistant superintendent, superintendent, consultant and now Facility Planner.  Phil Crocker will round out the team. Phil is an experienced education facilities and operational efficiency consultant with over twenty years' experience supporting public K-12 school districts as well as state and federal education agencies.
The first thing Doug, Dave and Phil will do, working with the District administration team, is set up a series of meetings with groups from Glacier, Elk Ridge and Wilkeson.
