cell phoneRecently the FCC changed some of the regulations in the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

Schools can use auto-dialer systems for emergency calls, with emergencies being such things as: school lockdowns, shelter-in-place, weather-related closures/delays, bus delays, unexcused absences, schedule changes and other situations which could impact student health or safety.

Schools can also send auto-dialer non-emergency calls that are closely related to the mission of the school or district.

Parents cannot opt-out of emergency calls, but if you do not want to receive automated phone reminders of such things as parent-teacher conferences, curriculum night, science fair, or other school related activities, you can complete this opt-out form.

This will NOT opt you out of person-to-person calls from your child's teacher, principal or other school staff. You can also use the same form to opt back in if you change your mind!
