At White River, you will find teachers and other staff members who are dedicated, highly qualified professionals.

 

Several have earned National Board Certification.  With each instructional initiative, staff are given the tools they need to carry out their work in the classroom through professional development opportunities.

 

Our Monday late starts enable collaborative efforts to examine student work and learning via the Professional Learning Community model.  We are serious about making sure students are learning and that instruction is geared to the individual needs of our students.

White River School District has become a recognized leader in the state and nation in the application of this collaborative model.  Large groups of teachers from many other school districts have visited us to observe how we implement these strategies in an effort to meet the learning needs of our White River students.
